There are quite some progress made this weekend. We are happy to see many responses in the blog. We are pleased by the encouragements from many. We also understand many are getting impatient and frustrated.
Despite some negative callings, despite the fact now armpits getting sweaty, there is a belief that all the sweat, hard work, sacrifice of personal times to rebuild this BBS from scratch would be paid off -- because no matter it rains or shines, ovations or sour notes, BBSChinese will be opened in hours.

How many hours it's going to be?
There are some stable and open-source bbs out there, and also some website hosting companies could provide the bbs function as well. Have no idea bringing back bbschinese could take so long.
We have reviewed both commercial and open-sourced packages such as phpBBS, vBulletin, .Net Nuke, Sharepoint, YAF and many others. We also take into consideration that we would need to extend functionalities and securities for BBS to grow, which is why the evaluation is not just purely how long it takes to get it going, how stable and how secure it is, but also what it takes to develop functionalities in the future.
We all want to bring this BBS back as soon as possible and we love it just as dearly as you. We appreciate that you understand we are like many professionals who have daily full-time responsibilities, we are working after hours, over weekends to bring BBS up as soon as possible.
If you dont have the site up, then stop come back here and do the marketing with us, okay? Who the hell cares. Every time, this guys would come back and say "oh, we are getting closer, we are getting closer" closer to what?
And stop complaining sh"t like "well, I have a job, I do this after work, pity me..." FCK you. Look, I OWN YOU, understand? Go bring me a muffin before I whop you lazy ass.
In my opinion, a lot of people like bbschinese because they used it in the past several years. And a lot of interesting posts were there, for example, the debate in Real Estate board.
Without those old posts, a nice-looking bbs with more features would be meaningless: there are a few local chinese bbs,
